MinecraftOven

MinecraftOven - MinecraftForge for MinecraftPi

 * Yay! New post! *

So... MinecraftOven?!?!

Yes.MinecraftForge for MCPi.Don't get the joke?What is a pie baked in?An oven!Now you know.

MinecraftForge - for raspberry pi and MCPI.A few things to start off with:
  • If you run "sudo unrestricted_start.sh" all mods will have root permissions. It is recommended for you to run "normal_start.sh" which will only give it your user's permissions.
  • This script does not check the files before running it, so we cannot guarantee that the scripts are not malicious.
  • I will not accept any liability. Including, but not limited to you downloading and letting malicious files run using my script.
Ok, now we have the *cough* legal *cough* stuff finished, let's get to the contents! This script will run any python files in your ~/mcpi/_mods/  directory.Now, what am I planning to add?
  • A better api
  • More features in Grill_Builtins
  • Some mods

WHERE IS THE DOWNLOAD?!?!?!?!

I'm sorry, I haven't coded far enough yet.
But ...
You can download the development build files!

These files MAY, or MAY NOT work. These files are mainly for editing to your own advantages.
But, if they work *sigh* fine.
Download them here.(Via GitHub)
How to install (Install.py may not work):
1. Extract archive into your mcpi directory.
2. Run "sudo Install.py" to copy the api into the _mods folder. If this gives an error, just copy '~/mcpi/api/python/mcpi/' into the ~/mcpi/_mods directory.
3. To run:
  Run "./normal_start.sh"
in bash (LX terminal) if none of your mods need root permissions. OR alternatively if some of your mods DO need root permissions you could run "sudo ./unrestricted_start.sh".This will ALSO allow all mods root permissions!Beware of this!
The only way this could be even remotely safe is if you have a sandboxed python interpreter, in which case you must edit the '*.sh' scripts to use your sandboxed version of python OR run the script in a "sandboxed environment".

Please report all bugs to this thread or to the project on GitHub.

Have a question?Post them here!
